Kate Capshaw as Joyce
Yūsaku Matsuda as Sato
Shigeru Kōyama as Sugai

Synopsis:
Black Rain is a neo-noir action thriller that follows two New York City police detectives, Nick Conklin (Michael Douglas) and Charlie Vincent (Andy García), who witness a brutal murder by a member of the Yakuza. After capturing the killer, they are tasked with escorting him back to Japan. However, upon their arrival in Osaka, the criminal escapes, forcing the American detectives to work with local law enforcement, including officer Masahiro Matsumoto (Ken Takakura). Together, they must navigate cultural differences and the shadowy world of the Yakuza to bring the fugitive to justice.

The film blends intense action sequences with a moody, atmospheric depiction of Japan, typical of Ridley Scott’s visual style.

The music for Black Rain was composed by Hans Zimmer.
