DAY 276.2 | Marinka, Ukraine

Marinka, Ukraine (click to enlarge)

"Marinka was a bustling town in eastern Ukraine with a prewar population of around 10,000. Then the Russian army came and "liberated" it off the face of the earth. There are hundreds of Marinkas across eastern Ukraine. This is what genocide looks like in the twenty-first century."

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz ruled out talks with Putin before withdrawal from Ukraine

Negotiations with Putin are possible only after he realizes that victory in Ukraine is impossible for him and decides on complete withdrawal of troops. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with CNN.

Putin, he said, "underestimated the unity" of the United States, the European Union, and the constant supply of weapons that allows Ukraine to "defend itself."

"It is important that Putin understand that he will not succeed with his invasion and imperialist aggression and that he must withdraw troops. This is the basis for negotiations," the chancellor said.

Ukraine, Scholz said, could receive "security guarantees" once the hostilities are over, as well as move toward membership in the European Union. (CNN, March 5, 2023)

Talks will only be possible after trial, conviction
before an International Criminal Court (The Hague Tribunal) of all
involved in war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide.

Russians cowardly and dishonorably executed this unarmed Ukrainian POW. His last words were 'Glory to Ukraine'. He was shot repeatedly after saying it. If Russians did it with a goal of intimidating Ukrainians, they achieved the opposite effect: he will be forever seen as a hero.

The name of the Ukrainian soldier who was shot dead by Russians for shouting “Glory to Ukraine” (Slava Ukraini) is Tymofiy Shadura. He went missing since 3 February 2023, after military action near the town of Bakhmut.

  1. Marinka...a truly horrible picture. But it's good to see that Putin's paranoia is reaching an all time high. He won't fly anymore and is moving to various houses day to day just like Saddam Hussein did before he was captured in an underground house cell.
