Christopher Robin Nordström constructs highly detailed miniatures of Tokyo buildings, each presenting a different vignette of life a world away from his own.

He’s never actually visited any of the buildings he constructs in real life. Instead, he spends hours browsing through Google Street View until finally landing on a target. He views these models as portraits of these buildings, and not exact replica.

All of his models are scaled to 1:20 because it’s not a commercially used scale, so he can’t cheat with readily available details. Every single detail you see is made by hand. (TokyoBuild 東京ビルド - Instagram)
